Riding in Cars With Swedes: Secret-keeping Laurels edition

Well, then. |
So, a lot has happened since my last post.
Stanley Tucci started me down a rabbit hole of Alpine Italian food, which has led me to the House of Savoy in 15th C. France and a cookbook written by their Head Chef, but there will be other posts about that.
I've started cataloging the cheeses mentioned in Scappi and the recipes that use them, with the intention of creating a database of sorts – more of a shopping list, really – that includes modern (and perhaps more affordable) substitutes, for people to use as a resource as they cook. But there will be other posts about that, too.
The side-quest of 1390s Italian clothing continues, and there will probably be some posts about that as it progresses.
Something to note, however, is that Their Majesties Drachenwald added me to Their Order of the Laurel at our Spring Crown just past. The title of this entry is because I was picked up at the airport, for this event, and subsequently stayed in a house with a Laurel from Sweden, and she knew the whole time! ::side-eye::
I suppose I should also now say that any SCA-related opinions that happen on this blog are my own, and do not represent the Council, the Crown or the SCA.
Also, I have chosen the title Magnifica, because it makes me giggle.
