What I plan to do on my Summer vacation

Patterning play dates? Yes please!

So, I'm not scheduled to hit an event, now, until September at the earliest, therefore I have decided that this is the year I get my clothing poop in a group. Heh. I've been wearing the same things for probably a decade, and have had fabric aging nicely in my stash for that long if not longer, and - in light of recent events - I feel like I need to step it up. I've not had anything fancy for ages, and I want to feel pretty.

Today, a friend is coming over to pattern me for a 1390-1410 kirtle so I can live my Tacuinum Sanitatis dream of full skirts and swoopy sleeves I can drag through my soup. In August, I'm heading to Amsterdam to learn all about the Bara method, and sort out some patterns for 16th c. things to match my medallion and give me a reason to wear my bling rat, Lorenzo.

Techincally a zibellino, but c'mon...

Overall, I have ambitious plans, but I'll be happy to get two new dresses and suitable chemises organised by the end of the year. And to fix my sparkly bycocket. The stretch goal is something fancy for midwinter Coronation, which might also include my finally making the embroidered partlet I've been thinking about forever.

::heart eyes:: So fancy!

And then, before next summer, I'll need to remake my camp dresses for a proper fit.

We'll see how I get on.
